Big News: I’m Moving Back to Europe!

After years of helping clients plan unforgettable adventures across Europe, I have some big, personal news to share:

I’m moving back to Portugal this September!

If you don’t already know, I was born in Portugal, and it’s where I spent much of my childhood before moving to the United States. Portugal has always felt like home, even from afar. It’s the place where I first fell in love with slow mornings at the local café, walks down cobblestone streets, and that quiet thrill you get when you’re about to board a train to somewhere new.

For years, I’ve encouraged my clients to embrace travel not just as a vacation, but as a way of living: seeking out experiences that feel meaningful, immersive, and aligned with who you are. This move is me practicing what I preach: leaning into curiosity, embracing adventure, and living a life that prioritizes the things that matter most.

It’s a leap, but it’s the good kind. The kind that feels aligned, exciting, and true to the spirit of Wanderlustre Travels.

And while this move is deeply personal, it’s also something that will benefit you as my client. By calling Europe home base again, I’ll be able to bring you even more authentic, on-the-ground insights, connections, and inspiration for your own future travels.

Why This Move Matters for Your Travels

You know that feeling when you arrive somewhere new and instantly feel the energy shift? The excitement of stepping onto a quiet street in a different country, hearing snippets of conversation in another language, or taking your first sip of local wine after a day of exploring? That’s the feeling I live for, and it’s the feeling I want you to have every time you travel.

By moving back to Portugal, I’m not just changing my address; I’m stepping deeper into the world I help my clients explore. It’s one thing to research destinations from afar; it’s another to live them daily, to see how the light hits the Douro River at sunrise, to taste a seasonal dish at a tucked-away wine bar, to discover a new boutique hotel that feels like a hidden gem worth sharing with you.

Here’s what this means for you:

Deeper Local Insights: From the best time to visit the Amalfi Coast to which Lisbon neighborhoods feel like “you,” I’ll have my finger on the pulse of what’s happening in Europe, providing real-time, firsthand recommendations to make your travels more meaningful.

Stronger On-the-Ground Connections: I’ll be building and strengthening relationships with local guides, boutique hotels, and unique experience providers, ensuring your trips are filled with authentic touches you can’t find on a generic booking site.

Better Support While You’re Traveling: With my time zone aligned with your European adventures, I can be there to help if plans need adjusting mid-trip, or if you need a last-minute dinner reservation with a view.

Continued Personalized Service: My move doesn’t change how I work with you. You’ll still get the same custom itineraries, calm guidance, and detailed planning that make your trips feel effortless—now with an added layer of “insider” expertise.

Living What I Love So I Can Better Serve You

This move also means I’ll be walking the walk. I’ll be exploring new corners of Europe, testing out travel logistics, and living the realities of border crossings, train travel, and local customs so that I can prepare you for your adventures with confidence.

Whether you’re dreaming of a cozy winter trip to Europe’s Christmas markets, a honeymoon in the Tuscan countryside, or a spring adventure along Portugal’s coastline, I’ll be ready to help you plan a trip that reflects your energy, style, and season of life.

Where I’ll Be

I’ll be calling Portugal my home base, settling back into a country that has shaped so much of who I am. I’ll be revisiting favorite spots like slow mornings in a Lisbon café with a pastel de nata, long walks along the coast, and weekend markets bursting with color, while also exploring new corners I can’t wait to share with you.

Portugal is an ideal hub for European exploration. With its efficient train and flight connections, I’ll be able to easily hop over to Italy for firsthand pasta taste-tests (all in the name of research, of course), scout new boutique stays along the French Riviera, or track down the best hot chocolate in Vienna during winter market season.

And because I’ll be living the European lifestyle year-round, I’ll be able to share insights on seasonality, crowd patterns, and local experiences: like when lavender blooms in Provence, the best weeks to visit the Douro Valley for harvest season, or how to enjoy Iceland under the midnight sun without the crowds.

This move means that every trip I help you plan will benefit from an added layer of local knowledge, grounded in lived experience, real-time observations, and the same spirit of curiosity I bring to every trip I design.
