Portugal Is Calling. And This Time, I'm Answering

After years of helping clients plan unforgettable adventures across Europe, I have some personal news to share, and this one's close to my heart.

I'm moving back to Portugal this September.

If you don't already know, I was born there, and it's where I spent much of my childhood before eventually making my way to the United States. Portugal has always felt like home, even from a distance. It's where I first fell in love with slow mornings at the local café, walks down cobblestone streets, and that quiet thrill you get when you're about to board a train to somewhere new.

For years, I've encouraged my clients to think of travel not just as a vacation, but as a way of living. Seeking out experiences that feel meaningful, immersive, and true to who they are. This move is me doing exactly that. Leaning into curiosity, embracing a new chapter, and choosing a life that reflects the same values I bring to every trip I plan.

It's a leap. But it's the right kind.

And while this is deeply personal, it's also something that will quietly benefit you as my client. Calling Europe home again means more authentic, on-the-ground insight. The kind that only comes from actually living somewhere, not just visiting.

Why This Move Matters for Your Travels

You know that feeling when you arrive somewhere new and the energy shifts? The excitement of stepping onto a quiet street in a different country, catching snippets of a conversation you almost understand, or taking your first sip of local wine after a long day of exploring? That's what I live for, and it's what I want you to feel every time you travel.

Moving back to Portugal means I'm not just changing my address. I'm stepping deeper into the world I help my clients explore. There's a difference between researching a destination from afar and actually living it. Seeing how the light hits the Douro River at sunrise, discovering a seasonal dish at a tucked-away wine bar, finding a boutique hotel that feels like exactly the kind of secret worth sharing.

Here's what that means for you in practice:

Deeper local insight. From the best time to visit the Amalfi Coast to which Lisbon neighborhoods feel like you, I'll have my finger on the pulse of what's actually happening in Europe, with real-time, firsthand recommendations to make your travels more meaningful.

Stronger on-the-ground connections. Living here means building and deepening relationships with local guides, boutique properties, and experience providers who aren't on any booking site. The kind of connections that turn a good trip into an exceptional one.

Better support while you're traveling. With my time zone aligned with your European adventures, I'm right there if plans need adjusting mid-trip or you need a last-minute dinner reservation with a view.

The same service you already know. My move doesn't change how I work with you. You'll still get the same custom itineraries, calm guidance, and meticulous planning that make your trips feel effortless, just with an added layer of lived-in expertise.

Living What I Love

This move also means walking the walk. I'll be exploring new corners of Europe, testing travel logistics, and experiencing the realities of train travel, border crossings, and local rhythms firsthand, so I can prepare you for your own adventures with confidence and specificity.

Whether you're dreaming of a cozy winter trip through Europe's Christmas markets, a honeymoon in the Tuscan countryside, or a spring escape along Portugal's coastline, I'll be planning from the same world you're headed into.

Where I’ll Be

Portugal will be my home base, a country that shaped a lot of who I am, and one I'm genuinely excited to rediscover. Slow mornings with a pastel de nata, long walks along the coast, weekend markets, familiar streets that still manage to surprise me.

It's also an ideal hub for everything else. Efficient train and flight connections mean I can easily get to Italy for firsthand research (pasta, obviously), scout new stays along the French Riviera, or track down the best hot chocolate in Vienna come winter market season.

Living the European lifestyle year-round means I'll always know when the lavender is blooming in Provence, which weeks are best for harvest season in the Douro Valley, and how to experience Iceland under the midnight sun without the crowds. Every trip I help you plan will carry that layer of knowledge, grounded in real time, real experience, and genuine curiosity.

What’s Next

If Europe has been on your mind, a honeymoon, an anniversary trip, a solo adventure, or simply a long-overdue escape, now is a wonderful time to start planning. The earlier we begin, the more we can align your travels with the right season, the right experiences, and the kind of details that make a trip feel truly tailored.

Over the coming months, I'll be sharing behind-the-scenes updates as I settle into this new chapter, local finds, destination guides, and the kind of travel intelligence that only comes from being there.

Let’s Make Your Next European Adventure Happen

If you're ready to start dreaming, I'm ready to help turn that into something real.

Thank you for trusting me with your travels. I can't wait to share this next chapter with you, live from Portugal.
